Miranda Kerr: A Scarf Wearing Newlywed!

It’s official! Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom tied the knot yesterday. The couple had a secret wedding that everyone clearly had no clue about. Well, at least they were able to avoid the nosy photographers and reporters from their special day.

Now on to another Miranda topic. It seems the supermodel has a designated traveling outfit. She was spotted wearing the same thing on two different dates; on both occasions, while traveling. The outfit consisted of a black maxi dress, black ballet flats, and a nice and cozy gray scarf. Seeing that Orlando was present in both occasions, I wonder if he noticed.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not criticizing the beauty for using the same thing twice. In fact, I can truly understand why she wore it – it’s super comfortable. Traveling can be a drain; you don’t need tight, uncomfortable clothes or high heels to make you feel even more exhausted.

I’m glad she included the scarf as part of her traveling ensemble. It’s definitely a must-bring. The one on her looks pretty cool and cozy, and it’s large enough to be a wrap or a blanket as well. That’s actually good, especially when the temperature inside a plain drops to an uncomfortable low.

If you’re planning to travel anytime soon, I suggest you take a cue from Miranda. No, I don’t mean designate a traveling outfit and wear it twice; I mean take a wrap with you. It’s practical, it’s handy, it’ll keep you warm, it’s definitely less bulky than jackets, and it’s very chic.

Orlando Bloom is a Stud in a Scarf

I love Orlando Bloom to the bone. The first time I saw him was as Legolas, and being a Lord of the Rings fan, I was immediately smitten with the character and the actor who fit the role perfectly.

For those who keep a watchful eye on him, you may notice how he often wears a scarf around his neck.

Some actually think he looks silly in it, especially when it does not go well with the outfit – case in point, the picture of him above with Miranda Kerr. But not many people know that he wears it more for function rather than fashion.

As a daredevil, Orlando fell off a roof (about three stories high) when he was young and they had to fix his back and put a steel rod in it. It was an accident that almost put him in a wheelchair, but thanks to God and science, he was able to walk again.

With that steel rod in his back, he is more sensitive to cold temperature; so to keep himself warm, he puts a scarf around his neck.

So although on certain occasions, the scarf may not be the best accessory for him to wear, he still looks handsome and beautiful as he is without it. Well, at least, to me he is.

On another note, let’s learn from Orlando. A scarf is a great accessory to use for keeping warm. In fact, it is a good alternative to the light sweater. And you don’t have to wear it all the time, only when you need to.

Besides, a good piece of scarf always gives your look an immediate upgrade. So it is always best to invest in a few pieces.

If you want to gift your special man with something useful – give him a scarf. Here are some options for you to choose from:
