Hand Drawn Archives

Every now and then, we do get bored with the usual floral, art deco, and abstract patterns. If you’re feelin’ the same way, here’s what we can suggest – grab these fresh-off-the-house printed scarves from Betsey Johnson! Don’t worry, you won’t see the typical because these pieces are playfully illustrated; like a comic strip! On one hand, they’re delightfully unique and artistic; on the other, aren’t you simply glad to find such refreshing extras?

Each scarf features a one-of-a-kind print that appears to be hand-drawn, and very representative of Betsey Johnson’s signature quirky, girly, with a lil’ bit of rock n’ roll style. In fact, even the female characters on the scarves look a LOT like the designer herself! Also, these silk add-ons come complete with captions injected with humor so they’re really interesting to have.

These Betsey Johnson scarves currently retail at USD68 over at Zappos. There are four (4) different prints available (as shown above). To purchase, simply visit the store.

Guess what? I found another scarf worth collecting while browsing through Shopbop today. Check out this silky number with an actual letter on it! It’s from Felix Rey, called the Dear John Scarf. The moment you see it, you really can’t help but stop and take a moment to read what’s written:

Felix Rey Dear John Scarf, USD165 at Shopbop

Boy oh boy, I couldn’t help the HUGE smile on my face after reading the whole thing. Cute, right? You’d expect a “love” letter but it’s actually a “break-up” letter! It even comes with a lipstick “mark”, a P.S. note, and star doodles on the top right – the whole nine (9) yards for a letter to a guy!

The only problem I have with this scarf is its price tag – USD165. I could already buy a dress or two with that amount. It is however, quite the collectible; something you can keep and pass on to a daughter so maybe I’ll negotiate with my rational self and convince the  ”logical me” to buy it.

If you don’t have an issue with the price and you’re loving this piece, I suggest you head over to Shopbop and grab it immediately. I don’t think this one will stay available for long.
