Mad about Mad Men? We sure are! So it’s only expected that we’re one of the first to pounce on Banana Republic‘s limited edition Mad Men Collection. The brand collaborated with Emmy-winning costume designer Janie Bryant to come up with ’60s-inspired clothes and accessories that are modern for everyday use.

And what is the ’60s woman without her scarf? Part of the collection features a silk neck scarf in grey or cafe au lait leopard print.

Grey Silk Betty Neck Scarf, $49.50,

See it worn as a headband with a lovely double breasted bracelet sleeve jacket, also from the Mad Men Collection.

Ready for some retro flavor in your scarves? Check out the Limited Edition Mad Men Collection on Banana Republic today!

Here’s what I’ve noticed – celebrities like wearing scarves with their fedora hats. For some reason, they like combining the two. And together these pieces make the wearer look  extra stylish. It’s like a marriage between two lovely people with the outcome being a beautiful baby. We spotted it Madonna, then on Glee’s Matthew Morrison. And now, here are more celebrities fashioning this look in the past month or so:

Scarlett Johannson

Gwen Stefani

Eva Longoria (with Tony Parker)

Well, what do you think? It’s a no-brainer I guess, once you wear them together, you immediately get star appeal. The fedora depicts coolness while the scarf portrays elegance.  Together they make you fabulous.

So how about it? Why not make these two accessories staples in your closet? Have them in different colors if you must. Try these combinations:

Scarves from left: Missoni Knitted Scarf, US$107; Jessica Simpson Geometric Scarf, US$35; Fossil Allyn Scarf, US$29

Fedora hats from left: Goorin Brothers Dapper Dan Hat, US$48; Goorin Brothers Hammond Hat, US$16; DC Beverly Fedora, US$16
