Apparently, the Coachella Festival this year happened over a span of two weekends – a first (I think). Seeing all the celebs in their hippie chic get-ups did however, inspire me to find the perfect scarf to wear for an event like Coachellla.

I went through several stores to look for that one festival-worthy extra but somehow, I kept going back to the gorgeously printed and fringed scarf Alessandra Ambrosio wore to the very same event last year – the Tolani Chakra Square Scarf, which we also featured here:

Isn’t it beautiful? I can’t seem to forget it. And apparently, I can’t keep my eyes off it either. All those striking colors packed into one piece of accessory is just truly mesmerizing. And with those frilly fringes, it turns into the perfect statement-making extra for that boho themed event (or outfit for that matter).

If you’re loving the Chakra as much as I am, feel free to pre-order it at RevolveClothing. Yes, it’s still in demand. Thus, the availability (no surprises there). It retails at USD85 over at Revolve, but if you don’t want to wait and you’re willing to pay a few dollars more, you can order one at BoutiqueToYou.

Scarves are undeniably “serious” extras one must always stock up on for style’s sake. But the fact is, the quirkier they are, the more we enjoy them. And sure, silks from Hermes, Pucci, and other big name brands may probably be the “ultimate” collectibles of all-time, but it’s really those one-of-a-kind printed pieces that truly tug at our hearts. For instance, these delightfully fresh and fun narrative scarves from London-based independent brand, Cleo Ferin Mercury:

Sooo cute, right?

Looking at each scarf is like reading a love story. They’re a little whimsicial and probably unexpected, but for the fashionista who craves something different, these scarves are the perfect novelty to grab.

If romance doesn’t suit your fancy, Cleo Ferin Mercury has other unique extras you can easily fall in love with. Aside from scarves, they also offer collars, bow ties, hankies, and even bandanas. A good one to try would be their ’6 Icons’ collection, which pays tribute to 6 iconic females from various eras and pop cultures. Here’s one featuring Cleopatra (Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra):
