Dahlia Archives

How do you feel about hand painted scarves? Such extras are quite novel today, given the popularity of digitally printed fabrics. However, if you like the unique and one-of-a-kind appeal it brings, here are a few suggestions for you from a brand called Dahlia. Not only are these scarves authentic and original with its quaint watercolor painting style, but they’re made of fine 100% Pashmina fabric as well (a type of cashmere wool from the Himalayan Mountain Goat). Have a look:

Dahlia Hand Painted Poppy Flower Scarf, USD38.45 (was USD108.93)

Dahlia Hand Painted Chinese Peony Blooming Scarf, USD34.95 (was USD108.93)

Dahlia Hand Painted Plum Blossom Scarf, USD38.45 (was USD108.93)

Now wouldn’t you say these scarves are a definite must-have? And you can even give one as a gift to a friend or your mom (this Mother’s Day).

Aside from the plush and cozy medium weight fabric, these scarves also retail at an affordable range, between USD35 to USD39. So really, how can you resist? And if you’re hesitant to purchase, the feedback should be enough to convince you to try at least one.

You can find these hand-painted Dahlia scarves at Amazon. Enjoy ‘em all year!

Zoe Saldana: Nike and Black & White

Didn’t we just talk about this a few weeks ago? You know, celebrities who love to wear scarves before or after their workout sessions; remember that? Our previous entry featured Hilary Duff and Nicole Richie wrapped in scarves while in their sweat suits. Now it looks like we will be adding Zoe Saldana into that list. Check her out below, looking absolutely cute in her Nike tee, leggings, and black and white scarf while leaving a gym last week:

Zoe Saldana leaves a gym after a session of workout, December 3

Doesn’t she look good? She definitely did some color coordination right there, that’s for sure. And we can’t help but admit that the scarf (per usual), made quite a difference to the outfit. We are also a bit green with envy, because even in her most un-glamorous, she still looks stunning and well put-together.

If you’re loving Zoe’s post-workout style here, you really don’t need an expert to steal it. The key is to color coordinate and you can easily do that by grabbing a black longsleeve tee, a pair of black workout leggings, white trainers, and of course, that scarf , which by the way, appears to be houndstooth patterned.

We have no information on Zoe’s scarf yet,  but a similar piece won’t be hard to find. A good substitute would be this houndstooth patterned pashmina scarf from Dahlia, which you can find at Amazon:
