Jennifer Aniston, Pretty in Periwinkle

Spotted, Jennifer Aniston in her usual black outfit while out and about with Justin Theroux in New York City. Although she had on a rather colorless outfit, the actress added a dose of extra by donning a striking periwinkle scarf. The pop of purple definitely kept her from looking too boring, and it complemented her all-too-dark wardrobe quite nicely:

See?

It really brightened up the whole outfit, right?

If your wardrobe is composed mainly of blacks, browns, and whites, take a cue from Jen here and spice it up with a little color. We guarantee, it will go a long way. Now we’re not exactly sure where Jen got her scarf, but a similar piece isn’t that hard to find. Hey, are you fond of Fair Isle knits? If you’re fond of Fair Isle Sweaters for instance, perhaps you’ll also appreciate these Fair Isle inspired scarves we found while browsing through a couple of stores. These fantastically colorful pieces would be a great way for you to not only greet winter with style, but enjoy the season’s call for patterns as well.

For the lady with a millionaire’s budget, one pretty scarf to try would be this piece from Sonia Rykiel – a wool, mohair, and cashmere mix that features rich and intense shades of red, orange, and blue, mixed with black and peach for that delightfully feisty appearance. Wide ribbed ends finish off the scarf and give it a more polished look. What do you think? Perfect, right?

For the lass who wishes to spend wisely, a good Fair Isle option to wrap around your neck would be this Bowdoin scarf from Juicy Couture. A grey base keeps it wonderfully neutral while touches of pink, yellow, and black give it a sweet and subtle appearance. Fringes tied into a knot also keep it charmingly cute. For a piece that is made of part wool, part angora, and part cashmere, it’s definitely not bad at USD88.
