Sexy may not be among the words to describe Olivia’s monochromatic style here, but laid back chic would be it. Obviously, we’re loving the play of neutrals in the outfit, but can you appreciate? Ashley Tisdale was spotted out and about early last week. The former Disney darling was decked in “IT” pieces as she stepped off her vehicle for a shopping session in Hollywood. By “IT” I mean the covetable two tone Celine Boston Luggage Bag, snakeskin Louboutin flats, and of course, the most iconic of all neck pieces, a skull printed Alexander McQueen Scarf!

What do you think of Ashley’s outfit here?

Actually, it’s nothing special BUT, those accessories did make her quite the standout. I envy her personally. For one, I wish I could afford a Celine bag like that. And for another, I so wish I wouldn’t feel guilty shelling out USD400 for a McQueen scarf. Unfortunately, spending that much would haunt me to my sleep, so it’s a no go. Spotted, Jennifer Aniston in her usual black outfit while out and about with Justin Theroux in New York City. Although she had on a rather colorless outfit, the actress added a dose of extra by donning a striking periwinkle scarf. The pop of purple definitely kept her from looking too boring, and it complemented her all-too-dark wardrobe quite nicely:

We hear Blake Lively went on a shopping binge in NYC a couple of weeks back. The young blond reportedly spent over US$7000 worth of designer goods at the EditNewYork boutique, snagging a couple of Proenzas and several Marants on display. And while Blake’s extravagant shopping session kept a lot of tongues wagging, we on the other hand, were too busy noticing the bulky scarf she wore while she engaged in the retail therapy. Blake used a chunky pink knitted scarf over her fabulous leather on leather outfit. It was hard not to notice the topper because it didn’t exactly go with her whole look. Check out Blake below:

Well, what can you say about the style? Do you think she should have worn a different scarf, one best suited for fall? Or is the juxtaposition a perfect match? True, the odd combination of textures looks quite intriguing – matte to shiny and rough to smooth, but the real question is, is it a solid style hit or a miss?

Looks like Emma Watson is quite the scarf fanatic as well. The Harry Potter star has been spotted wrapped in our favorite accessory more than a couple of times of late. And as you can see, not only does she wear it the traditional way, but she also uses the scarf as a headband (see first pic).

Speaking of which, what do you think of Emma’s taste in scarves?

We’re not quite sure where Emma got her moose printed scarf but we do know that the stunning leopard and lace number in the second picture is from Yarnz. Grab this really cheap leopard print scarf we found at Amazon, buy some black lace fabric (if you have scraps at home, that will do), cut out the lace to your desired size and shape, grab a needle and a spool of black thread, and finally, sew it onto the scarf ! If you have a sewing machine, then simply use it to attach the lace:

Here’s one more celebrity doing a print on print combination on her outfit – Leighton Meester. The Gossip Girl beauty was spotted heading to the set of her TV show in a striped light grey sweater paired with a much lighter grey printed scarf. She paired the pieces with black pants, boots, and a handbag. The look was easy and casual, though quite the opposite of what her alter ego, Blair Waldorf, would wear:

What do you think of Leighton’s style here? Do you like the way she mixed those prints? It’s quite a subtle combination, can you appreciate? Well, we can. Some women look stunning at first glance, and then there are some who are pretty, but become even more beautiful as time passes. They grow on you; slowly yet so surely that at the end of the day, you can’t stop looking at them. That’s how we see Zoe Saldana. She may not be a Jennifer Lopez but she is indeed beautiful. She’s also very stylish, and seriously knows how to dress on and off the red carpet.

For her trip to the salon early this month, the “Columbiana” star wore a grey wrap mini, paired it with a white button down, then styled it up with a grey scarf around her neck. It was a very simple outfit but she looked gorgeous. Here’s Zoe for you:

While I’m a pro Angelina (Jolie) fan, I can’t help but admit that Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt’s former wife, is a world class hottie. For someone who is already 42, she sure looks fit and fabulous. The Horrible Bosses actress was spotted out and about in New York City late last month in an extremely sheer white sarong skirt topped with a grey tank, and what seemed like a grey wrap casually slung across her shoulder. Suffice to say, she looked showstopping, especially with the see through white number she had on:

What do you think of Jennifer’s summer style?

Can you rock such a beachy look in a highly urbanized metro like NYC? Personally, though I do find the outfit extremely sexy, I think it looks a tad too casual for a day out in New York. It’s a mighty good thing that she had that wrap on, even though she didn’t exactly wear it (though I truly wish she did). Unusual as it may sound, I think it dressed up the look in a subtle and simple way, making her appear elegant despite the casual California attire.

I couldn’t find any information on Jen’s wrap but her clothes have already been ID’ed if you’re interested. The sarong is from Michael Kors while the top is from Theory. With such brand names, let’s assume her wrap is probably also expensive. Now if you don’t want to spend that much but you like the sarong + wrap combo, try stealing the style by topping any of these wraps (below) over a grey tank and white sarong:
