Gossip Girls leading ladies, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, were once again spotted filming scenes for the show last week. It was hard not to keep on staring at the two when both sported colorful scarves to go with their cozy cold season outfits. Blake had on an intense blue number on top of her all-black ensemble while Leighton was wrapped in a bright pink scarf whilst fashioning an equally striking green coat:

What do you think of the ensembles? Better yet, what can you say about those colorful scarves?

Well, I personally think it’s a breath of fresh air to see scarves in colors other than the usual black, grey, or brown this season. And let’s face it, wearing a pop of color around your neck is the BEST way to brighten up your face, your look, and basically your day.

Here’s one more celebrity doing a print on print combination on her outfit – Leighton Meester. The Gossip Girl beauty was spotted heading to the set of her TV show in a striped light grey sweater paired with a much lighter grey printed scarf. She paired the pieces with black pants, boots, and a handbag. The look was easy and casual, though quite the opposite of what her alter ego, Blair Waldorf, would wear:

What do you think of Leighton’s style here? Do you like the way she mixed those prints? It’s quite a subtle combination, can you appreciate? Well, we can.
