Hilary Duff Archives

The title speaks for itself, what do Hilary Duff and Nicole Richie have in common aside from being celebrities, married, and blond? Here’s our answer to that – both ladies workout with their scarves. Well, to be more specific, they like wearing it either before or after a workout session. Check out these pictures of the two -  Nicole while on her way to the gym, and Hilary while leaving her Pilates class:

So what do you think is the reason why these stylish celebs love tagging their scarves along to an activity that is completely unglamorous?

Allow us to answer our own question. Simply because wearing a scarf IS the easiest way to look fashionable even while you’re in your workout wardrobe. The scarf offers both form and function. It’s a great substitute to the usual zipped sweater, AND it’s definitely a more elegant piece to throw on (than the usual sweater).

Now we don’t know where Hilary and Nicole got their scarves, but you can easily channel their work-out look by pairing your sweat pants and tank with these printed scarves from YARNZ, both of which can be found at Shopbop:

I found this photograph of Hilary while browsing through Zimbio. This was taken early last month (October 1), doesn’t the former Disney Queen look chic and stylish in her outfit? I love the pop of color on her feet. Plus, check out the way she did her scarf, she knotted it twice to make it look like a tie. Love! Love! Love!

And I’m sure you’ve already noticed, Hilary’s scarf is the iconic McQueen Skull Scarf. A piece will cost you at least US$260, depending on the material and size.
