I found myself looking through pictures of Katie Holmes today. As you know, the actress loves to wear scarves. You can see all our posts about her here. Now here’s a recent shot of the actress that made me take a second glance – her in a cozy sweater with a tassel trimmed scarf around her neck.
Now I am no fan of big tassels or pom poms on scarves, but I would have to say she actually looks cute here. And I can see that she really made the scarf her “own”; something that doesn’t usually happen to people who sport heavily trimmed scarves because in most cases, they either wear it wrong or it looks awkward (and sometimes too much).
This also brings me to the question, how do you girls feel about heavily tasseled or pom pom trimmed scarves?
Personally, I am not into it. I prefer understated dressing and tasseled or pom pom scarves don’t give you that. But if the tassels (or pom poms) are small or tiny enough, maybe — just maybe — I would give it a go. Here’s a good example of what I’d pick out:

La Fiortentina Pom Pom Cashmere Wrap, USD138
That’s probably the best I can do. So how about you, would you fashion tassel or pom pom scarves? Do you love ‘em or hate ‘em? Do you prefer the add-ons bigger and more pronounced? Or do you prefer ‘em small and dainty? If I were to ask you to pick from the scarves below, which would you wear?

Collection XIIX Feathered Floral Scarf, USD18.90 (was USD38) – SOLD OUT

Betsey Johnson Waffle Knit Muffler, USD44.90 (was USD68) – SOLD OUT

Sir Alistair Rai Camo Handkerchief Scarf, USD63 – SOLD OUT

Well, which one? Or would it be none of the above?
