The beauty and ferocity of animals have been a constant inspiration in fashion. They bring an exotic touch to our everyday that sees mostly the boring, grey concrete of the city. Here are some animal-themed scarves and wraps from Shopbop to help you bring out that fashionable creature within.

Fox Scarf, $108, YARNZ

The bright-eyed fox of the scarf

Instead of that vintage-style fox fur around the shoulders, this gauze scarf from YARNZ features a bright-eyed fox graphic that’s even better than the real thing. Made out of a cashmere and wool mix, this fringed scarf is light as well as cozy.

Kylie Leopard Jacquard Cowl Scarf, $210, Eugenia Kim

Beautiful leopard spots dot this chunky knit neckwarmer by Eugenia Kim. It makes a chic accent to a color-blocking ensemble or peeking underneath a dark trench coat.

Elephants Scarf, $260, we are owls

Balancing elephants on your scarf

The circus-themed line of scarves of we are owls cannot be without animals– especially elephants. This cashmere-gauze scarf features grey elephants balancing on red circus balls.

Leopard Plaid Scarf, $188, YARNZ

The preppy pattern of grey plaid combines with a tan leopard print for a smart casual scarf. This cashmere-gauze scarf is also available in royal blue and cloud.

Haute couture doesn’t necessarily mean it’s wearable out in the real world yet here they are, in plain sight, awaiting someone who would dare. The metallic scarf by Issey Miyake is by far, the craziest scarf we’ve ever featured here. And while this blog believes there is more than one person out there who owns an extraordinary spirit for fashion, we wonder if they’d be game enough for a scarf like this.

Metallic Scarf, $827, Issey Miyake, Farfetch

Made out of 100% polyester and, surprisingly, machine washable, this black and silver scarf is sure to wow anybody who comes across it. It features a double layer of pleated fabric, formed in this pointed, windswept shape that seems to interfere with the outfit and in so doing, creating a whole new outfit altogether.

The Issey Miyake Metallic Scarf seems to be an outfit all on its own

Of course, it’s not much for keeping you warm but rather, making a statement. So would you wear Issey Miyake’s metallic scarf?
