Here’s Selena Gomez again for you; looks like the young Wizards of Waverly Place star has been attending one Jingle Ball after another. She was spotted attending Z100’s Jingle Ball presented by H&M last December 11 and we just couldn’t help but notice her odd outfit that day. Take a look:

What do you think?
Too much going on, yah? Just simply too much; too many textures in one outfit equals a fashion disaster. A classic black top and skirt minus the textured stockings and maybe some uber fabulous boots to go with would have absolutely looked stunning with that red knitted scarf. Check out the ensemble we came up with below:

Scarf: Luxury Divas Red Fine Knit Circle Scarf, US$18 from US$25 (Amazon.com) / Clutch: Ed Hardy City Slicker Sochi Satchel, US$81 from US$225 (6pm.com) / Booties: Pelle Moda Tammi, US$136 from US$195 (Zappos.com) / Skirt: BB Dakota Chance, US$25 from US$50 (6pm.com) / Top: ABS Allen Schwartz Pull Shoulder Top, US$78 from US$130 (6pm.com) / Tights: Kate Spade Spangle Tights, US$36 (Zappos.com)
Do you like it? Or do you prefer Selena’s?
Of course, we can’t be too critical of the youngling. She is after all, just a teenager still trying to experiment with her style. If you want Selena’s red infinity scarf, you can grab the same look with the Luxury Divas Fine Knit Circle Scarf (as seen above). It retails for an easy, breezy US$18 at Amazon.com!

Looks like Blake Lively doesn’t just pile her scarves off screen, she also does it on screen. Well, her alter ego at least. Here’s a picture of Blake shooting a scene for Gossip Girl.

Now check out that outfit. Serena (Blake) isn’t just wearing one scarf; she’s wearing two – a dove grey and a dark mossy green. And in case you haven’t noticed, she’s not just piling the scarves, she’s piling the cardis too – one in leather and the other (underneath) in knit. Hmmm…good thing she’s tall and slender enough to handle all that bulk. Bulkiness aside though, I have to admit, she looks good (per usual, of course)
Can you carry such a layered outfit? If you think you can, here’s how you can make the look originally yours:
Preppy Layering

Scarves: Wildfox Prep School Scarf in Black and Cream, US$58 each / Cardigans: Alice and Olivia Aidan Cascade Cardigan with Leather in Black, US$346.50 (from US$495); Joie Cleopatra B Sleeveless Cardi in Heather Oat, US$208.60 (from US$298) / Jeans: Black Denim Super Stretch Skinny in Trojen, US$75 / Top: Torn by Ronny Kobo French Stripes Tank, US$88 / Boots: ROSEGOLD Genie Lace Up Bootie in Taupe, US4$185
(all from Singer22.com)
By the way, in case you’re curious, the coats are from Catherine Malandrino, and they are quite expensive. If you want one, visit NeimanMarcus. The blue bag is from VBH. Read this post if you want to know more about it. As for her scarves, well, those are a bit of a mystery…but we think our alternatives above are just as good
Merry Christmas ladies!
