Kim Kardashian is now officially a New Yorker after having moved and opened a DASH boutique in the city. The Reality TV star’s fashion preference has also shifted towards cozy scarves, wraps, and ponchos instead  of the usual light jackets. Case in point, these pictures of Kim taken just recently:

We love Kim’s New York style. And we love her taste in ponchos too! In case you’re curious, Kim’s poncho in the first picture is the Rag & Bone Northfield Checked Tweed Poncho, and in the second picture is the Sass & Bide What is Reality Poncho.

Rag & Bone Northfield Checked Tweed Poncho, US$795

Sass & Bide What is Reality Poncho, US$539

If you like the ponchos, you can grab the Rag & BOne Northfield Poncho from Nordstrom, Shopbop, or Saks. It retails for a high US$795. As for the Sass & Bide Poncho, check if RevolveClothing.com still has it.

If the prices of these ponchos are too high for you, try these more affordable alternatives:

Leyendecker Poncho, US$254 (Shopbop.com)

TEXTILE Elizabeth and James Print Sweater Poncho, US$245 (Nordstrom)

Spring & Clifton Jacquard Poncho Sweater, US$168 (Saks.com)

Ilana Wolf Satin Wrap

Here’s a wrap you can use to formal occasions – the Ilana Wolf Satin Wrap. I know I should be writing about cold weather scarves today but I just couldn’t resist this one. Besides, the holidays are coming up, and when it’s time to don those formal dresses, what else can you use to cover up aside from fur coats and capes? Well, dressy wraps of course; and the Ilana Wolf Satin Wrap is one option.

Ilana Wolf Satin Wrap, US$130

However, as much as I’d like to say this wrap is pocket friendly, there’s also a part of me that would like to say you don’t need to spend that much to own such a wrap. Why? well, if you know how to sew and you have a sewing machine, you can actually just buy a few yards of soft satin fabric (the good kind; there are different types of satin so better pick the softest one), fold it to create a double layer (as seen in the picture), and sew the wrap yourself. That will save you about US$90 give or take a few.

However, if you aren’t confident with your sewing abilities, or if you simply don’t want the hassle of sewing, then I  suggest you just visit the Neiman Marcus website and buy the Ilana Wolf Satin Wrap.
