Rock chic singer Rihanna apparently likes to wrap herself up in a wrap after a night of clubbing. She was spotted exiting Lillie’s Bordello Night Club last month wrapped in an oversized charcoal gray wrap:

And just this month, she was spotted leaving Mahiki Night Club  in the same wrap.

I guess she appointed that wrap as her designated “blankie” after a night about town; definitely not a bad way to keep warm at night, and a fashionable way too!

A wrap is basically an oversized scarf. It’s generally more versatile because you can use it as a scarf, a wrap to keep you warm, a bikini dress cover up, or a bikini skirt cover up. It’s a handy piece of accessory that you can easily bring (to the club for example) in case you suddenly start feeling cold; and it’s definitely way better than bringing a jacket.

If you don’t have a wrap in your closet yet, then it’s about time you get one; or perhaps two, or maybe more! You can start with the solid colors first, then eventually try some printed ones.

Here are some affordable wraps (oversized scarves) from Echo design:

Echo Design Jacquard Pareo with Tassels (Pics A & B), US$65; Echo Design Chiffon Sequin Stripe Wrap, US$44; Echo Design Crinkled Solid Wrapping, US$48; Echo Design Ribbed Knit T-Shirt Wrap, US$44

Contrary to rumors going around the rumor mill, fashionable and extremely beautiful British actress Kate Beckinsale is NOT breaking up with her husband, Len Wiseman. How can they be breaking up with they were spotted looking sweet and snuggly just last month?

And of course, after seeing these two lovebirds snoggle with each other, how could I not miss that exquisite patterned scarf around Kate’s neck? It’s definitely a beautiful piece, a Louis Vuitton for that matter. I like how the base changes hues from white, to light blue, to salmon.

And I love the whole outfit by the way – military style cropped jacket over skinny denims and a slightly loose top finished off with the scarf and some uber cool sunglasses, just perfect!

If you want the scarf, you can get it from Louis Vuitton. Or, save a lot by opting for these more cost friendly pieces:
